The Universal, Everything Everyone Wants UI

The Makey Makey kit

Every company’s secret goal is to create a product or service that appeals to everyone, a lofty and mostly unattainable goal. And yet it may have actually been accomplished with the Makey Makey kit. Created by a duo from the MIT Media Lab, the Makey Makey kit lets you create your own keyboard and mouse interface out of mostly anything you can imagine.

Why create something so unusual? Because “we believe that everyone is creative, inventive, and imaginative. We believe that everyone can create the future and change the world. So we have dedicated our lives to making easy-to-use invention kits. We believe that the whole world is a construction kit, if we choose to see it that way.”

The Thetus office has even started our own Makey Makey contest, each month a prize is awarded to the employee who came up with the most “awesome” idea.

If you haven’t heard about this yet, you’ve got to check it out, read the Fast Company article here
